Napa is Napa County’s most populous city with 85,000 of the county’s 126,000 residents living within city limits. Napa County is a cornerstone of the state’s premier wine industry. The city is only about 19 square miles and is situated along the Napa River. The Valley’s climate is cooler than other cities such as Calistoga. Bring your slicker if you are planning to visit during the rainy season, November to March.
